How come covalent bonds with H are considered strong and hydogen bonds are considered weak?

I downloaded berkley's 1st year biology course from iTunes U. I just watched the first video and understood most of it, but I was slightly unsure about some of the chemistry. The professor said covalent bonds such as O-H, H-H and C-H counted as strong, but hydrogen bonds were weak. Why are the bonds above not considered hydrogen bonds and what then is the difference between them and their weaker cousins. Read more >>
